Getting started with AI in the browser: Build an Agent with TypeScript

Thursday, 24. April 2025 | 09:00- 17:00

Description

In recent years, we have become familiar with a variety of application areas for generative AI, especially for large language models (LLMs). These range from basic prompt engineering and typing assistants to retrieval augmented generation (RAG).

With AI agents, we are now entering a new, exciting field that combines all these use cases and significantly simplifies - or even “humanizes” - interaction with users.

Topics

In this workshop, we will bring order to the topic of "Applied AI" and start with the basics:
We will then develop our first AI agent - a system that independently decides which functions or data sources are used to efficiently carry out users' tasks.

We also take a look at the growing topic of on-device LLMs. Even if there are differences in implementation between cloud and on-device solutions, the basic concepts and functionalities are universally transferable.

Requirements

The sample application we’ll use to build an AI agent is available in React, Vue, and Angular. Therefore, it’s beneficial if participants are proficient in at least one of these frameworks.
However, the core logic will be implemented framework-agnostically using TypeScript, so basic familiarity with TypeScript is also required.
No prior knowledge of Artificial Intelligence is necessary, as we’ll cover all the essential concepts during the workshop.

Hardware Requirements:
Participants need to bring their own laptop with the following tools pre-installed:

Target audience

No prior knowledge of Artificial Intelligence is necessary, as we’ll cover all the essential concepts during the workshop.
